AT&T is Aparently Fighting Back Against Those Who Are Unlocking iPhones
I wrote a short article yesterday about several different people figuring out how to unlock phones so you don’t have to use AT&T as your network carrier if you own an iPhone. Today, I read an article about one company who were planning to release software for sale to allow everyone to unlock their phones. They received a call today from a law firm warning them that if they didn’t cease and desist, legal action would be taken.
This company is now looking at their own lawyers to see if they have to worry about AT&T. This looks like it just might become a big ordeal with all kinds of legal matters. AT&T may just tie up these companies with so much legal hoopla that it may just take them four and a half years before they come to some kind of reconciliation. By then AT&T’s contract with apple will be up and they will be on to the next big thing.
I do think that there is going to be free unlocking software that is going to be passed around the internet. You will be able to get some kind of freeware that will work just like apple’s software. Then you will be able to use your iPhome with any carrier you like.
We will see what happens.
