I tried to make my goal for this past week. I didn’t quite make it. Heck I didn’t even make half of my goal. It didn’t help that I went through the manuscript and deleted all the extra words at the beginning of each chapter. I had the title of the book (Which is Untitled at the moment) and the date that I wrote the chapter at the top of each chapter. I decided that I didn’t need those there. Originally I was printing out every chapter and mailing it to myself as a form of copyright. The reason for this was because I was planning to post the chapters on my blog as I wrote them and I didn’t want people to steal them. At least I wanted to proove that I orrigionally wrote them. This was back in November when I was attempting NaNoWriMo for the 3rd time.
Recently I decided that I didn’t want my novel to be online for everyone to read. I want to finish it. I want to edit it. I don’t want someone to be able to steal what I have written. I don’t really think anyone would really try to steal my work. Everything that I have written so far is really crap, but who knows, maybe there’s someone out there who likes crap.
My new goal is to try to finish all 80,000 words by the first of November. This way if I want to write a new novel for NaNoWriMo 2007, I can. To do this, I have to write at least 8,000 words per week for the next two months. We will see if I can do it.
