My Novel is Progressing a Whole Lot Slower That I Was Hoping

I am working on my novel just about every day now, but it seems that I can’t get myself to write more than a few hundred words at a time. I guess I should count myself lucky that I am actually able to write everyday. I guess I could have put the whole thing on the back burner and foret all about it… again. There is no way that I will have the first draft finished by November first, though.
I think… That through the month of November I am going to work on the outline of this Novel when I am not near a computer. I can print out what I have and finisish outlining the end of the book. I plan to use the computer time that I have working on the new novel for NaNo 2007. I have my ideas for the first few chapters and the last few chapters, but I am going to have to figure out the journey between those chapters before NaNo begins.
I have a few goals for NaNo 2007.
- Finish the first draft by November 30th 2007
- Finish the first edit by February 28th 2008
- Have my first Readers read it by March 31st 2008
- Get my Final Draft done by May 31st 2008
- Set up a website for the Novel by June 30th 2008
- Record the Novel for Podcasting by July 31st 2008
- Have the Podcasts Polished and ready for distribution on the website by September 30th 2008
- Have the Print Version Finalized on Lulu.com by October 31st 2008
- Grow some excitment about my Podcast by November 1st 2008 and release the first chapter on November 1st 2008.
- Release a new chapter every day during the month of November.
- Each podcast will have the chapter
- and a call for everyone listening to advertise the podcast to draw more listeners.
- and possibly audio feedback from the listeners.
I don’t know if this will work, but I have set my goals down on digital paper and will make a daring effort to make those goals come true.
