Garden Diary 2008: Time to Plan My Garden for 2008
I know… It isn’t 2008 yet. I just want to get started early, that’s all. I ran across a blog page called Garden Diary 2007 by Destination AndyLand. I thought it was so good, I had to start my own. I had a couple of successes in 2007 with my Kitty Litter Roma Tomatoes and my Wick Fed Hydro Cucumbers, I thought I would expand what I grow this coming year.
My plan is to get started early. I want to create a make shift greenhouse that will allow me to germinate seeds early. I might even do a little experiment to see which seed will do the best: out in the cold under glass or inside on a windowsill.
I want to plant:
- Tomatoes (Big Boys & Romas)
- Cucumbers
- Strawberries
- Spinach
- Sunflowers
- Peppers
- We will see what else
I think I am going to start with these paper pots that Wizer showed on his blog. I might even try to demonstrate how to make them better (would be a great addition to my origami pages).
Now to figure out what I can use for the greenhouse.
