Trusted Tours & Attractions Spawns Family Fun and Great Stories
Growing up in Florida, we would take vacation time and go to Orlando on a regular basis. It is something that we loved to do. There was so much to see there. There are 4 Disney parks and a 2 Universal parks as well as a number of water parks. We would always take in something different every time we went.
There was one time that we went and stayed in a hotel next to Old Town, a small street near Universal full of carnival like rides and western like stores. We watched people bungee jump and took a ride on the Farris-Wheel. Then there was the haunted house. My sister and I were young and were terrified of things like ghosts and monsters, but we still tried to talk each other into going into that house. We egged each other on saying: “I’ll go if you go.”
Finally after about an hour of this we finally got the nerve to go into the building. It started off with just a dark hallway with a couple of flashing lights. Then hands started reaching out of the walls, grabbing us as we walked by. We started moving through faster going around corners just to find growling men in hockey masks. My sister screamed and we bolted around them running till we came to this hideous tentacle creature that was trying to grab us without actually grabbing us.
I don’t remember the rest of the haunted house. I either ran through the rest of the rooms with my eyes closed or the visions were so bad that my mind has completely blocked them out. Needless to say, we didn’t go into another haunted house for a really long time.
Now that I have a family of my own, I am always looking for family vacation ideas. They have all kinds of things you can do. Places Like San Diego zoo, New York City and Washington DC.
