Day 008: Junis Suffers
Athvor watches as his skilled workmanship destroyed many more of the evil creatures. He watched as all the STEEL brothers and sisters killed many hundreds of these creatures before they themselves were overtaken by the many. He searched the crowd for his friend, his mentor, Junis. Junis was the one who taught him how to fight. He taught Athvor how to look at all he had and to make the most out of it. He taught him that the only important thing in life is protecting those you care about.
It took only moments to find Junis. He was clearing a path through the creatures faster than any other STEEL child on the battlefield. There was nothing getting in his way. He was going to reach Verlor one way or another. He was going to make an end to this evil that was overtaking the world. He was going to destroy the most powerful sorcerer know to all the peoples of Noothorm. He was going to….
Athvor began to descend, his wings stopped flapping. It was lucky blow. One of the evil creatures found an opening in Junis’ defenses and ran him through with a small dagger. It was the last attack made by a dying minion. It didn’t take all that much. Junis was facing creature attack after creature attack. His mind had already sealed the doom of this particular henchman. He was dead, or at least he was well on his way to death. Junis had already taken three more swings, severing the head of one, slicing another completely in two and the third, well let say he didn’t have time to think.
This creature found enough strength in him to pull a dagger from his boot and throw it with its final breath. Athvor didn’t even think it had enough life left to even see the puncture the dagger made between junis’ ribs.
