Day 009: Circle of Fire
Athvor was well on his way to aid Junis when he was run through for the second time. There was nothing he could do to save Junis. He was just too far away. Junis collapsed in the center of dead carcasses that had faced the wrath of Junis the Strong. Now he was being surrounded by many more creatures who were very interested in the death of this STEEL child.
Junis was content to die right there. This was a good death. He had killed many; many more than his fair share for this battle. Now he was ready to rejoin the STEEL in the great afterlife.
Athvor was not going to let these creatures have there way with his friend. He knew what they were going to do. They were going to cut him to pieces and consume him raw. That is what they always did when they killed a creature of STEEL. They believed that the meat that they eat will somehow give them power and strength of ten. It never did. The STEEL didn’t work that way.
Athvor landed on top of sever of the creatures, feeling the bones pop and crunch under his massive weight. He swung his tail and wipe out several more of the evil monsters sending them flying over the raging battle and hopefully into their own people wherever they landed. Finally he blew his heated mixture at the rest of them, creating a wall of fire around him and his dying friend.
