Day 010.1: Junis’ Imortality
“Use it well… My… friend.” Junis looked into the big dragon’s eyes for what seemed like an eternity. His breathing became more labored, every breath sounding as if he was trying to breath through a bucket of water. Tears welled up in Athvor’s eyes.
Junis wanted to say something that would bring peace to Athvor’s heart. He could not speak though. The blackness that was death was slowly overtaking him. The scene aound him began to black out. The noises became muffled, as if he was listening through a paper tube. His sight narrowed until all he could see was Athvor.
His eyes became glassy, and clouded over. There was nothing left, no sight, no sound, just a one way journey to be with those who lived before him. He didn’t mind. He was ready. He knew that this was a real possibility and he was not going to fear his afterlife.
Junis’ body fell limp. His spirit left him in an instant. There was nothing left, just a shell; a body with living STEEL still coursing through its veins. It would eventually decompose, leaving the STEEL behind to be found by another, or it would eventually return to the ground from which it came.
