Day 031.2: Rumble
“That’s just brutal.” Nynn covered her mouth with her fingers. She was intrigued as well as a little disturbed by the amount of destruction that this dragon was capable of. “I… I think if I was going into a battle like that… well… any battle for that matter… I would be really scared.”
“We were all a little scared. We knew that there was a good possibility that we would not be coming back alive. It is war. You have to be prepared to give that kind of sacrifice, and determined to make it extremely difficult for the enemy to take that sacrifice.”
“Still… I don’t know if I could do it.” As she said this, there was a small rumbling as Nynn held her stomach. There was a slight pause as she and the two dragons looked at where the noise came from. The rumble was so loud that even Eeno could hear it from nearly one hundred yards away. He was sill exploring the village. He was still looking for anything that he might eat or salvage. “I’m sorry. I haven’t eaten in several days. Those creatures took anything of value… including the food.”
“Sound like we should have a little something to eat.” Athvor opened his wings and stretched them like a runner that was preparing to run. “Eeno… entertain her a bit. I will go find us something to eat.” He flexed the massive muscles in his legs, pushed hard against the ground sending him into the sky. His wings caught the wind and within moments he was a speck in the sky.
