Recently the Powerball hit $165 Million Dollars and I broke down and bought a ticket. I don’t know what makes us feel like the bigger the jackpot, the better the chance we have to win. It’s not true. Everyone has the same chance to win for every ticket they purchase. It doesn’t matter how large the Jackpot is.

I conducted a little experiment with this lotto ticket. I tried my hardest to use the law of attraction to make that $165 miilion mine, but I failed. After I learned of my loss, I took some time to brainstorm the reasons I was not able to make that money mine using the LOA. Here are some of the steps I took to use the LOA to make all those millions mine:

1. I visualized myself going to get the money
2. I wrote over and over again this sentence, “The Powerball ticket I bought today is the winning ticket.”
3. I repeated my numbers as the winning numbers over and over in my head
4. I even pictured myself giving a lot of it away.

Needless to say, I didn’t win. Now I could go on and say that the Law of Attraction is a bunch of boloney, but I started to think about all the reasons that I didn’t win by using the Law of Attraction.

1. I knew the odds. Even though I truly wanted to believe that I was going to win the big one, I knew that my odds were more than 195 million to 1.
2. I kept picturing all the other people who were buying powerball tickets. It’s hard to believe I will win when so many other people are planning (using the law of attraction) to win as well.
3. My quick-pick numbers were not very well distributed. It is a known fact that the majority of people, who pick their own lotto numbers, pick them in a fairly distributed manner. When the balls drop, they tend to clump together. I just naturally felt like I had some bad numbers. This negativity made me feel like I would not win.
4. I also had the belief, “Why would God allow me to have that much money? Have I really shown responsibility with what he has given me so far?” these are questions full of doubt that bring negativity to my thoughts.

So you see, I pretty much failed to think perfectly from the get go. I wasn’t thinking perfectly, using the Law of Attraction to its perfect perfection. Theoretically, If I use the law of attraction, I wouldn’t even need to buy a lotto ticket. The winning ticket would be brought to me.

Now the question is posed: How DO I win the lotto using the Law of Attraction?

1. First off – I should not try to win the lotto. It is too hard to put my mind into the correct positive thinking when the knowledge of the odds and the unseen variables run rampant through my mind. I should focus on my current employment, new employment and/or the success of this weblog to bring me millions. It is more likely I will be able to believe in those things than being able to believe I will be able to win a Powerball jackpot.
2. If I were to try using the Law of Attraction to win the lottery again, I would do several things differently.
1. I would play for a lower prize. I would play for something I thought would be possible in my own mind; maybe just earning any cash prize, not just the jackpot. The odds of winning any prize in the Powerball are 1 in 35.
2. In that way of thinking, If I buy 35 tickets I should be likely to win at least once. I can believe that. I can focus on that being true. I should not eve focus on what the winnings will be. I should only focus on winning. The total winnings will just be a surprise.

I guess after this whole ordeal, I figure it is better to use the Law of Attraction for other aspects of life. There are so many other ways that God can bring massive wealth into my life, I really don’t even need to win the lottery.

I am taking this strategy from my Roulette Strategy. I am just changing the basics around a bit to fit a game with higher odds. I am not a gambling expert. Step 1: I am going to make this easy. I am going to use the Florida Lottery: Cash 3 as an example. We are going to buy a series of 6-way box .50¢ tickets. Why? Well, the odds of winning this game are the lowest at 333.3 to 1. We will lower this number by buying a series of tickets. But first we need to see all the numbers visually. So I am going to list all the combinations here:

Step 2: Obviously we cannot pick them all. You would spend more than you can possibly make in profits. So what we are going to do is pick our favorite number between 0-9 and replace the 0 in the first section. In this case we are going to pick 7.

Step 3: We are now going to delete the sets that have duplicate numbers. The reason for this is if you make a spend that is more than half of the winnings, down the road you end up spending more than you win nearly every time.

Step 4: This leaves us with 36 Number sets out of 219 That drops our odds to about 1:6 which means that one of our numbers should be drawn about every 6 drawings. Maybe :)

What do I mean? Well, I am going to use the same strategy that I did for Roulette. I am going to keep my eye on the numbers that are drawn and wait for a certain number of misses before I start to play. Why am I waiting. While the odds of winning are always the same, I am counting on those same odds to not allow the same numbers to be playes day after day. If I lose, then I double my spend on the same numbers and wait to see if I win again. I keep doubling my spend ’til I win. (I do realize this can get expensive fast. That is why they call it a risk.)

Step 5: Buy your 36 numbers at .50¢ 6 way box. This will cost you $18. If you win, you get $40 (your profits are $22), If you lose, you will buy the same numbers 2 times each. This will cost you $36 more dollars (total spent is $54). If you win you get $80 (Profits = $26). If you loose you play the same numbers 4 times each. This will cost you $72 (total spent is $126). If you win, You win $160 (Profits = $34). Lets watch the rest:

1 – $18 spent could win $40 ($22)
2 – $36 more ($54) could win $80 ($26)
4 – $72 more ($126) could win $160 ($34)
8 – $144 more ($270) could win $320 ($50)
16 – $288 more ($558) could win $640 ($82)
32 – $576 more ($1,134) could win $1,280 ($146)

As you can see this can get really expensive. Let’s try something a little different. Let’s only have ten sets:

This is a lot less likely to win. The odds are 1:22. I would wait for about 30-50 loses before you play this one. The winnings are a whole lot more. You will need a lot of money to spend in case you don’t win for a while.

1 – $5 spent could win $40 ($35)
2 – $10 more ($15) could win $80 ($65)
4 – $20 more ($35) could win $160 ($125)
8 – $40 more ($75) could win $320 ($280)
16 – $80 more ($155) could win $640 ($485)
32 – $160 more ($315) could win $1,280 ($965)
64 – $320 more ($635) could win $2,560 ($1,925)
128 – $640 more ($1,275) could win $5,120 ($3,485)

If you get to this point, you will have a problem buying that many tickets. In that 8th drawing you will have to buy 1,280 tickets. That is nearly impossible, not to mention that most people don’t have $1,275 to spent. Now if you can get a group of people who would like to take the risk, $3,485 is a nice chunk of change to split between several people.

Again… A Warning: It can sometimes take 30, 40, 50 or even more draws before your group of numbers come up. It is possible to loose that money. This is not a fool proof system. If you have a gambling problem, please seek help and leave this page right now.

I don’t gamble all that much. I used to spend a couple of dollars a week playing the lottery with my co-workers. We would spend a total of about $20 per week and win about $12 every 5-6 weeks. It really was not the smartest deal in the world, especially when your odds are something like 28 million to 1. You could probably get hit by a mack truck 3 times before you actually won the lottery.

I recently stumbled onto a strategy that I think is rather intriguing. It is a strategy that some use to win in the game of roulette. It is definatly not fool-proof, but if you learn how to quit while you are ahead, you could actually walk away with some extra cash. Read further as I lay it out for you right here.

The strategy is based on a 50/50 chance of winning and it is really simple to put into motion. The strategy relies on the idea that if you bet on red, eventually the ball will land on red. What do I mean? Well, let’s conduct a little experiment. 

Take a coin, any coin. That quarter in your pocket is fine. You have a 50/50 chance of the coin landing on heads if you flip it in the air. So let’s make a bet of $1 that it will land on heads (you win $1 if it land on heads). Now, let’s say that you flip it and it lands on tails. This strategy says to double your bet every time you loose. So we will now bet $2 on heads (You should stick with the same choice every time, in our case, heads). You flip the coin and it lands on tails again. Lets bet $4 on heads (doubling the $2 we bet last time). This time we win. This means you won the $3 you spent on the first 2 bets and you gained $1 in profit. Now that you won, Bet $1 again on heads and start the process all over again.

This strategy is not flawless. Lets say you lost to tails 10 times, You bet:

$512 would be your last bet plus all the bets added up before this one. That means you would have to bet $1,023 total before you won it all back plus your $1 profit. If you had less that that $1,023 in your pocket at the time, you would have lost everything. Not only this, the odds that you will win is always 50/50, no matter how many times you play. That is why they call it gambling.

Now, you could play this same strategy more agressively, if you have the extra money to gamble away. Bet your $1. When you loose, bet $5 instead of $2. If you win, that means you make $4 profit instead of $1. What if you bet 5 times before you win:

$100. If you win at this point you make a $24 profit. The only problem is that the doubling gets high quickly:

$3,200 by your 10th bet. That can get really expensive, and the person you are betting against probably won’t take that bet.
