How to Patent & Sell Your Invention Part 1: Doing my Research
Monday, December 10th, 2007I have a few ideas that I want to look into getting a patent for and eventually find a market for and have it produced and sold. I googled “How to Patent Your Invention” and was sent to the US Patent and Trademark Office website: http://www.uspto.gov/
On that Website I found A Guide To Filing A Design Patent Application. I am going to take some time to read and understand this process. After I do, I will report my findings here. I want to go through the process and see if I can push one of my ideas through to manufacturing and eventually sell it.
I am like you and have looked at those programs that claim to help you get a patent and sell your product. The only problem with these programs are that they expect you to pay all this money up front. I’m not willing to do this. I want to learn what it takes to do it myself. I will let you know what I learn as I learn and execute it.
