I Can’t Believe I was Fired from the CIA

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

(This is a fictional account about a new TV series, USA Network’s ‘Burn Notice‘)

I can’t believe the CIA fired me! I mean I was one of their most trusted operatives, capable of getting behind the lines and hunting down the information that the USA government needed to destroy a world power or win the lowest bid on some new technology that will push us into the technological forefront. I was even known to make certain people in power disappear.

Now I am sitting on the sidewalk without an identity of my own. They took everything from me and made sure I didn’t have a thing. I don’t have a name or social security number. This means I can’t get a job anywhere legally. I can’t get a drivers license. All I can possibly get is a bank account with Bank of America, since they don’t seem to care if you are a legal resident of the United States of America. I can’t buy a car or a house because I don’t have a credit history. I can’t get a credit history because I don’t have any form of identification. It has all been erased because someone at the top of the CIA wanted me gone.

All I have are the connections I made in the CIA. Most of those connections have been severed, but I am sure I can count of a few of them to help me.

What bugs me the most is the reason I was fired. The general in charge of security and defense overheard me taking to a coworker about a TV show I was watching with my kids. I don’t know why but he took offence when I said that a tele-tubby could run this organization better than the idiots that are currently in charge. I guess I should count my blessings. There are hundreds of torture techniques they could have done to me before I was tossed out on my rear.
