Find a 4 foot 1×2 piece of wood. You could actually dumpster dive for this. You might have a friend or family member who has a scrap piece of lumber. If not you can get it from you local hardware store or lumberyard. I got mine from Lowes.
I cut that 1×2 into 4 one foot sections
With wood glue and nails, I constructed a square frame.
I gave it some time for the glue to dry then I marked where I was going to place the screws. I made marks one inch apart all the way around the frame.
With a drill bit slightly lighter than the drywall screws that I was using, I drilled pilot holes for each screw.
I screwed a drywall screw into each hole leaving about half to a quarter of an inch of the screw above the wood. I eventually got out my battery powered screwgun when my arm started to hurt from turning the screws with a screwdriver.
“me wonder if me eat that.” Eeno motioned to the creature as he tried to stand up. He checked everything as he moved. Bone by bone, he found that nothing was broken.
“I don’t know Eeno.” Nynn moved back as he strolled over to the dead creature. “everything in this land is unlike anything that we are used to. There is no telling what might happen to you if you eat meat from that thing.”
Eeno sniffed at the creature. He was not sure himself if this was something he should do. He had not eaten in over a day. He could most likely last a few days without food. He knew Nynn could last moore than a week without food. Who knows whe they will be able to find food. It was a natural instinct to want to eat when the oportunity presented itself.
Eeno leaned over the gory specticle. He sniffed taking in the scent of freshly slaughtered meat. He closed his eyes as he analized the smell. His mouth salivated.
A small gutteral sound came from his left. His eyes opened to see Nynn covering her mouth with her hands. The sight of him getting ready to gorge himself on this creature’s flesh was enough to make her turn her head and gag. Her stomach was empty so there was no chanch of her loosing her lunch.
Eeno smirked a bit at the sight, then turned back towards the creature. He attacked the meat with furiosity that matched a rabid dog. It was meat. It tasted like meat and his hunger pushed him to eat… To eat more than his shares worth.
In 2007 and 2008 I just let my tomatoes Grow any way they wanted. Both years, I had very little fruit. This year, I want to experiment with pruning my tomatoes. Here is one of the videos I have been watching to show me how to do this:
Halloween is upon us. Do you have your costume yet? I don’t. I still don’t know what I am going to be. I have been looking through some of the halloween costumes available this year. I thought about being a superhero like Batman or something. The only problem was that all the people who dressed up as batman in the movie were killed by the Joker.
I thought about making my own costume, but when I have done that in the past, well… It has been rather hokey. One year I was a weatherman during a heat-wave. I wore shorts and a t-shirt, with a tie, a badge and a pointer to point to the weather. It was so bad. Another year I was a karate student. I put on the uniform that I wore to my karate classes. I had such a lack of imagination.
halloweenadventure.com has some cool huperhero costumes. I thought I might be one of the fantastic 4. I thought The Human Torch costume was cool. Too bad they don’t have it in Adult sizes. They do have a really great costume forHellboy. I am going to really think hard about that one. I don’t have a lot of time left. Less than 2 weeks.
Take a moment and tell me what you are going to be. Leave a comment. Post a picture if you can (Please don’t post anything risqué. I will have to OK all comments, so be patient for their appearance).

Go to the store and purchase plain popcorn. If you can find microwave popcorn that is plain (no salt no butter or anything else) that would be the best kind of popcorn to buy. It is the easiest to pop. If you can’t find plain microwave popcorn, buy a bag of traditional popcorn. It will either be in a clear plastic bag or a clear plastic container. I will tell you how to pop this later.
Find nylon thread and a needle. You will also need a bowl to put the popcorn and a few friends to help you make popcorn garland.
Put on some Christmas music or one of your favorite Christmas time movies. Gather everyone to help you.
Pop your popcorn. If it is microwave popcorn, stick it in the microwave and pop it. If you have a popper, this would be the best way to pop the corn because oil is not needed. If you do not have a popper, you can pop the corn on the stove in a pot. Find a deep pot and drizzle some oil in the bottom with about a quarter cup of popcorn cornels. Place the pot on a hot stovetop eye. Continuously slide the pot over the eye, making the cornels move. This will keep the popcorn from burning. Keep moving the pot till the popcorn is done popping. Drop the popcorn into your bowl. For easier stringing, leave the popcorn out for a day or two so it gets stale.
String a needle with your nylon thread. The thread should be twice as ling as you want the garland to be. After you thread it through the needle, put the two ends together and tie a knot in the end. You can leave the thread attached to the spool of thread ’til you are done stringing the popcorn, but it won’t be as strong because you won’t be able to double up the thread.
You can start the string of popcorn two different ways. The fist is the easiest way. The first way is to just to push the needle through the first piece of popcorn letting it stop at the knot you made. You may need to make sure the knot is big enough that the popcorn doesn’t just go past the knot. To make sure the popcorn doesn’t come off the end of the string; tie the thread through and around the first piece of popcorn (You can use a bead or button to stop the popcord as well). This will insure that all the other pieces you string after that one will not push the first one off.
String the rest of the popcorn
When you get to the end of the thread, tie a knot around the last piece of popcorn. This will make sure the popcorn stays on the thread.
Now you can decorate your Christmas tree with your new popcorn garland.
I don’t know about you, buy my car is more than 8 years old. For a while now, the air conditioning has not worked. It blows but all that comes out is hot air. I tried adding Freon and that worked for a few days then it was hot again. I went around and looked at all the connections and figured that I would need to replace all the tubing that was eight years old. If that doesn’t work, I will probably have to replace the compressor.
I found a website that deals just in auto ac compressors. They have compressors for just about every make and model of automobile. Take a look at the website. They sell all kinds of auto ac parts. I was able to do a quick lookup on my cars make, model and year, and the website told me exactly what ac compressor I needed and how much it was going to cost me. It is so simple. Take a look right now.
Now… Off to see if I can get my AC to work.

Go to the grocery store and pick out a giant pumpkin (more than one if you are so inclined). The Bigger the pumpkin, the better… Usually. The more surface area, the more detailed you can be.
Decide on a design for the face of your pumpkin. You can either make up your own design which will be more fun, or you can surf the internet for a design. There thousands or ideas out there.Lay out some newspaper on your kitchen table. This is going to get messy.
Put on clothes you don’t mind getting messed up.
Find along sharp knife, a large heavy duty soup spoon, a garbage can and a cookie sheet.
Place the pumpkin on the newspaper. Decide on where you want to place your design. You can draw this design on the pumpkin. Another option is to tape your design on the pumpkin, then poking through the design with a needle. Follow the lines of the design creating a ‘connect the dots’ pattern on the surface of the pumpkin.
Take the design off the pumpkin.
Cut a cap onto the top of the pumpkin. Make sure you angle the knife towards the stem. This will keep the cap from falling into the pumpkin. Don’t worry about getting the cuts perfectly symmetrical. The nice part about having a unique shape carved into your cap is that it will only go in the hole one way giving the cap a perfect seal
Slice all the strings off the inside of the cap. Again, leave enough flesh on the cap so it will not fall into the pumpkin.
With the giant spoon, scrape out all the guts of the pumpkin. Yes I know it is gross. There is not a wrong way to do this. I like to place my thumb on the inside of the head of the spoon and scraping the inside walls of the pumpkin with the edge of the scoop. You should definitely find the best way for you to do it. Make sure you keep the guts. You will want the seeds for later use.
Now that the inside of the pumpkin is cleaned out, you can carve the pumpkin. With the knife you used to cut out the cap, start cutting out your face (you may use one of those carving kits that you can get from the store). Just follow the design you have already transferred to the pumpkin.
Go back and clean up the flesh inside your cuts. You want the maximum amount of light to come out of the pumpkin when it is sitting on your front porch. At an angle, cut inside the rind removing the flesh.
Light a tea candle or snap a glow stick and place inside the pumpkin. Set the cap and place outside after the sun has set. Enjoy your creative expression.
Separate the seeds from all that stringy stuff. You can throw al that stringy stuff away.
Rinse the seeds with water and let dry. You can pat them dry in a clean towel.
Mix them with olive oil and spread out on a cookie baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt.
Place them in the oven at 450 degreed for about 30 minutes. Let them cool and enjoy.
